Step 1 – Free evaluation
The first step in publishing with Spiderwize is for you to send us your manuscript for a free evaluation – we will then check to see if your manuscript is suitable for our publishing package – there is no commitment for you to proceed after this if you do not wish to.
Click here to send us your manuscript for a free evaluation.
Before you send us your manuscript please note there is a small selection of the type of books that we do not publish – Check this list here.
Step 2 – Sign up for our Publishing Package
If after our free evaluation we decide your manuscript is suitable for our publishing package we will then give you the opportunity to sign up with us by completing a simple one page form.
Step 3 – Payment & formatting / design starts
You will then be assigned a production assistant and we will ask for 50% of the publishing package fee so that we can proceed. Your production assistant will then gather all additional information from you that we need to start the formatting of your interior and the design of your cover. Your production assistant will be your first point of contact throughout the production of your book.
Step 4 – Check proofs
Once we have formatted your manuscript and designed your cover, we will send you PDF proofs, including cover proofs, to check for any errors. You confirm the proofs are to your satisfaction, or provide a list of corrections. Once you are happy with your proofs we will only then ask for the remaining 50% of the publishing package fee.
Step 5 – You decide on pricing
After the book’s proof stage we will send you some examples and guidance notes of what we think the best retail, wholesale and author royalties percentage (amount you earn per book) should be for your book. But the final decision is the author’s, so if you wish to change the amount you will earn per book, then this is fine. Just keep in mind the more you wish to earn per book will in turn increase the retail price. To see some example printing prices go to our Book Price Calculator
Step 6 – Go to press
That’s it – now sit back and relax. We will send your book to the printers and send you a free copy of your newly printed book. We will add your book to the UK and US distribution list so that your book can be made available to online retailers & wholesalers. This includes amazon.co.uk and amazon.com. Your book will now be available to print at any time.
