Manuscript Editing – 1.2p a word

Our editing service will give your manuscript a finished polish.

Once you have signed up for this editing add-on we will first edit 5,000 words of your manuscript and send this back to you to review – this is to make sure you are happy with the editing service before we edit your entire manuscript. If at this point you decide our editing service is not what you are looking for then you are free to decide not to proceed.

Our edting fee is £0.012 per word.

Payment note: Editing add-on to be paid in full only after you have accepted the 5,000 word check.

Our editing service will deal with the following as needed:
Correct spelling errors Correct words that can be found easily in a dictionary or a credible on-line resource Correct errors in both singular and plural possessives Correct errors involving words with similar spelling or sound. E.g: – “affect” and “effect” – “it’s” and “its” – “there,” “their,” and “they’re – “two,” too,” and “two” – “where” and “were”
Correct grammar errors – Subject and verb usage – Plural and singular – Tense – Basic syntax (word, sentence and paragraph)
Correct punctuation errors Including: – Commas – Semicolons – Hyphenations – Colons – En dashes and em dashes – Quotation marks – Apostrophes – Run-on sentences
Changes in word choice – Change overused words – May change word choice that more clearly conveys the meaning
Suitable for books with up to: Our editing service is suitable for book with up to 200,000 words.	200,000 words

What is not included in our editing service

Our editing service does not include the following:
- Making changes to the plot, narrative or characters
- Adding or removing sections to the manuscript
- Checking for inconsistencies or contradictions within the text (e.g. name of one of the characters changes part way through)
- Suggest improvements to enhance the content
- Characterization details
- Basically change the content, flow or author’s writing style in any manner
- Check formatting of references cited
- Reorder material
